Crowns and Bridges

A prosthetic restoration for missing or damaged teeth.

We’re With You,
Every Step Of The Way.

Missing teeth can affect your health, appearance, and self esteem. They leave room for oral health issues such as plaque buildup and gum disease. Dental crowns and bridges provide a prosthetic restoration for missing or damaged teeth.

Prior to the placement of a crown or bridge, your teeth will be evaluated to determine adequate spacing. Preparation involves the contouring of teeth by removing portions of tooth enamel to allow for proper crown fitting. An impression of your teeth will be created to serve as a model. A temporary restoration can be performed while the dental lab fabricates the final restoration.

Once the final restoration is placed, time for healing and adjustment must be considered. Sensitivity to extreme temperatures is likely but can be managed with Ibuprofen. A prescription can be provided if necessary. Crowns and bridges can last more than 10 years if proper care and good oral hygiene is maintained. Regular check ups are advised to conserve dental restoration.

Crown

A crown is a tooth shaped cap that is placed over an existing tooth or implant. Ideal for people with cavities or broken teeth, crowns protect and strengthen natural teeth as well as previous dental work.

Bridge

Bridges can be used to fill gaps resulting from missing teeth. They cover and prevent your teeth from drifting out of place. In addition to restoring the ability to speak and chew properly, they assist in improving your smile and maintaining the shape of your face. Bridges are made up of two or more crowns to link neighboring teeth or implants.
